
ROCKVILLE GROMDURO

Get ready for the first-ever Rockville Gromduro hosted by Bay Area Bike Project! The race will be held at Rockville Hills Park in Fairfield, CA for for kids under age 18. It will have 3 stages (with a 4th stage for Expert racers), and each stage has a short climb in between. With rocky, technical descents, this course is best suited for confident riders who have experience handling their bike on advanced features.

Saturday, October 11:

12:00 PM - 4:00 PM: Course open for pre-riding (NO PACKET PICK UP- SUNDAY ONLY!)
Sunday, October 12:

7:00 AM: Volunteers check in

7:00 - 8:00 AM: Packet pickup

8:00 AM: Mandatory Pre-race meeting at Solano Community College

8:15 AM: Racers start loading shuttles. ALL RACERS and Chaperones must use shuttle.

10:00 AM: First rider starts racing from top of Stage 1.

12:30 PM-ISH: Racers should be finishing around this time and will be shuttled back to Solano Community College.

Lunch will be available at the college.

1:30 PM- ISH: Awards ceremony (One Hour after the last rider finishes)
Event schedule is subject to change if there is inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

The course has 3 stages (fourth stage for Experts Only).

Riders will need to pedal between stages - the shuttle from the college will drop riders at the park entrance and from there races will pedal to the start of Stage 1.

We recommend either camping at Skyline Wilderness Park (which also has fun singletrack to check out after the race!) or booking one of the many hotel options around Fairfield, CA.

Chaperones:

Riders under age 10 MUST have a follow rider/ chaperone.
◦ If you can not find a follower for your young racer, or can not follow them yourself, then reach out to the race director. -
Riders aged 10-13 may have a chaperone if they’d like.

Riders aged 14-18 may not race with a chaperone.

Categories are divided by skill level (Beginner, Sport, Expert) and age (Under 10, 10-13, 14-18).

Spectating:

There will be two (2) designated areas for spectators on the venue map. Please remain in these areas for the safety of our racers and the public.

Spectators can use our shuttles from the parking area/Solano College.
